Fibre Café recently hit another milestone: a brand new website with a refreshed look and feel to reflect our award-winning solution that makes us the leading gateway to the UK’s wholesale connectivity ecosystem. As we set our sights on continued growth in 2025 and beyond, Donal Hanrahan, Strategic Imperatives’ Director of Strategy, put pen to paper on where we are now and what’s next.
Where is Fibre Café on its journey in the UK fibre sector?
Fibre Café is our award-winning, cloud-based, API-driven integration platform which has transformed how service providers can expand their network and product coverage with access to the UK’s wholesale telecommunications ecosystem, helping them gain competitive advantage.
Since entering the market in 2022, Fibre Café has become the de facto standard for the way service providers automate their interface into the wholesale service provider ecosystem, helping those looking to expand or automate their current supplier base thanks to a transparent, success-based commercial model and a streamlined implementation process. Today, we work closely with leading industry players, including BT Wholesale, PlatformX (PXC), Virgin Media Business, Sky Business, Netomnia, Community Fibre, Trooli and many more.
The simplicity of Fibre Café is that service providers only need to connect to our platform once to unlock access to the entire UK fibre ecosystem – speeding up time to market, enabling rapid revenue growth, and removing the integration complexities and high development costs that have plagued the industry for decades.
Over the last couple of years, there has been a swell of momentum around Fibre Café, and we’ve been proud to announce a consistent stream of new Fibre Café customers, demonstrating the sector’s trust in the power of our platform to support their business goals. Our industry heritage of over 15 years as the trusted provider of access to, and support of, service providers’ copper-based Wholesale Line Rental base underpins where we are today – the single gateway to the UK’s wholesale ecosystem. We are here to solve the specific challenges service providers experience when trying to expand their network coverage and integrate with multiple wholesale networks.
What are Fibre Cafe’s aims and objectives for 2025? Why are these significant?
In 2025, we aim to solidify Fibre Café’s position as the UK’s leading gateway to wholesale telecommunications connectivity by continuing to streamline and accelerate how service providers access the UK wholesale ecosystem, at a time of significant competition in the market.
Last year, in innovating the platform, we launched Trouble-to-Resolve (T2R) support functionality which enables a unified approach to diagnostics and trouble ticketing. We created this functionality working closely with our service provider customers to address their specific needs.
In 2025, we’re continuing to invest significantly in customer-centric innovations that make the lives of our service provider customers easier and more efficient, including:
- Expanding the services that can be accessed across the platform with customer-led developments including Ethernet, VoIP and Mobile
- The development of enhanced analytics and reporting capabilities within the platform.
Why are these significant? These solutions reflect the desire of our service provider customers to automate their interface into the wholesale service provider ecosystem across a broad range of products and services. In doing so, they reflect the dynamic nature of the market and Fibre Café’s significant role as a facilitator of this dynamism.
